Pity is the most disgusting of human emotions. Underneath its so-called Christian concern is a stance that one is superior to the victim and can emote shallow feelings their way, kinda like a priest when he robs the poor or exploits their naivete. I think we should look to downtown L.A., where we can actually do something. But the fact that we can actually makes it impossible to hide behind pity.

I reply:

Who the hell is pitying whom? I think we should go in and stop the bastards who are doing this.

When was the last time you went downtown and handed out soup at the mission?
